United Electric Controls 12 Series Pressure and Temperature Switch

Dual seal, SIL 2 certified, rugged, stainless steel switch for harsh environments

The 12 Series offers process end-users and OEMs, safety and control reliability in a rugged, compact design for alarm and emergency shutdown applications. It is certified to the requirements of ANSI/ISA 12.27.01 and NFPA 70 that stress the importance of properly sealing electrical equipment to prevent process media from entering the electrical conduit system - no additional components or labor required. SIL 2 certification simplifies use in safety instrumented systems (SIS).

Typical applications that utilize the 12 Series include offshore production safety panels, rotating equipment, fire suppression systems, BOP accumulator systems, and CO2 injection skids.

    • Compact, cylindrical design provides installation flexibility for process equipment or control panels
    • Snap-acting Belleville disc sensor assembly is resistant to vibration, reduces spurious trips and improves set point stability
    • Hermetically sealed switch provides secondary seal for process sealing between electrical system and process media, certified to ANSI/ISA 12.27.01
    • Corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel construction and NACE MR0175 models for harsh environments
